this post is going to be full of really important and good information. there will be no theme and it will probably be the most exciting thing you've ever read. you are definitely going to want to pay attention.
not.
so here we go...let's just get the inevitable out of the way:
20 weeks
here i am at 20 weeks. i actually thought i was 19 weeks but when we went to the dr for our 20 week appointment they changed my due date. i'm now due april 18th. if you need help remembering that day just think of a day that is extremely far away and you'll probably be close.
we also found out the gender of this little human growing inside me...we are VERY excited about it! no seriously, i almost cried. it's a girl! everyone told us it was a boy...even strangers. which i think is particularly odd considering i would NEVER walk up to a woman and tell her she looked like she was pregnant...with a boy. creepiest thing ever. i then proceeded to tell her i wasn't pregnant. it was nice.
i am quite a bit larger now than i was in above photo and that was also confirmed when i stepped on the scale at my appointment. total weight gain so far: 20 pounds. to make me feel better about this, the ultrasound tech assured me that our little baby was growing well. our child is weighing in at a whopping 14 ounces. awesome. soooo what is the cause for the other 19 pounds 2 ounces i've gained? perhaps it has something to do with this:
apple pie
i've made apple pie a few times in the last couple of weeks. it's delicious. and it is especially tasty when paired with vanilla ice cream. for breakfast. for three days in a row. i'm a health nut...with all the fruit and dairy i consume for breakfast.
lastly, a few awkward things...and moments:
obama chia pet--i snapped this cutie picture off my tv...the commercial was THAT long
-being told you look like you're going to pop by the man making your sandwich at quiznos. he didn't speak much english.
-the two grown men chasing each other around target last night...with knee pads on.
-ugly cry face

Betsy---you're so cute. I always laugh when I view your blog posts. I didn't know you guys were expecting. Congratulations, and a GIRL, congratulations again!
